Welcome to Wily Westings

The Lava Flow --  a cocktail originally created when a visionary bartender (or some say team of bartenders) in the Aloha State poured a strawberry daiquiri into a piña colada.  Simple concept: artfully combine two colorful and popular libations.  Seemed unusual until patrons tasted this dramatic and curious concoction and voilà!  A new classic was born, destined to be featured in Hawaiian bars and cruise ships around the globe.

This theatre blog will be a Lava Flow.  A dynamic blend of the professional and personal.  An original web cocktail infusing business and behind-the-scenes snapshots with first hand details about the energy, commitment, and perseverance to develop truly independent world premiere plays in San Francisco.  We'll have show updates and processes, photos, sneak previews, as well as quirky details about us Wily Westers as multi-faced individuals and artists.  What keeps us together.  What drives us.  Why we work so hard for the Love of Theatre.  

Our website Wily West Productions and facebook will present official production, audition, and submission announcements.  This will be a peephole into our projects, hopes, skills, outings, struggles, inspirations, and creative observations.  And in the collaborative spirit  vital to community theatre, we will tip our hats to the actors, directors, playwrights, musicians, and fellow small theatre companies that comprise the passionate Bay Area art scene.  

The intimate universe we inhabit and develop deserves an intimate portrait.  Welcome to Wily Westings... our idiosyncratic garden of delights!
